A sign that good things are in store?

Fact: I have a difficult time relaxing. Another fact: I believe in signs. Today was the first full day on my trip to St. Augustine. Life has been hectic for a while and I’ve had a good number of worries lately. Relaxing on this trip seemed out of the question, as usual. Luckily, the first full day in was gorgeous despite a forecast of rain. As the day progressed, I found myself able to relax a bit although still a little preoccupied with “real life”. Then, as I walked along the top of the Castillo de San Marcos admiring the beautiful blue sky and the lovely patina on the canons, I saw a sign. There it was a tiny little ladybug saying hello. Ladybugs are deeply symbolic in many cultures. They can be taken as symbols of protection, love and luck. I took the sign as all three. What made it even more special was that it had no spots. I’m not sure what that may mean, but I’ll take it as rare and extra lucky.
