blogA dream come true

I became a mermaid, sort of.

I love magic and fantasy. Things like unicorns, elves and mermaids make me happy. Most adults will just say none of those things exist. I think that’s why most adults are miserable, because they’ve lost the magic. Many people never even posses a magical perspective on things. To me they are real and they do exist, even if its just in the wonderful world that is my mind. I’m going to be honest though, I do hold on to that though of “what if somewhere things like mermaids do exist?”. That thought makes brings me joy. At Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, mermaids are real. Going to Weeki Wachee to see the mermaids has been on my list for years, but again, never made it until now. How could a mermaid encounter be even better? Make it festive, of course. Santa made a visit and swam with the mermaids. Quite a show! What made the night for me…I became a mermaid. Well, in a round about way. I wasn’t in the water, but still pretty rad.
